Photography

Lassi Pekka Tilander is a respected golf course photographer whose pictures have been seen in many magazines in Finland and throughout Europe. Although Lassi Pekka's golf course photography started as a hobby, by the early 1990's it reached a new professional peak as he toured nearly every course in Finland. Today, the archives - which now include images from three decades - keep growing. For example, in addition to shooting his own designs, Tilander was commissioned to photograph all the images that Kytäjä Golf has used in its marketing.
A good golf course picture requires early morning or late evening sunlight. The low light and ensuing shadows will best accentuate the shape of the course. Furthermore, the use of proper equipment and an understanding of golf are also crucial.

Graphic Design

Before embarking on golf course design, Lassi Pekka Tilander worked as an Art Director for an advertising agency. Therefore, his skill set includes marketing and ad design, brand design and magazine lay out design. Tilander Golf Design still produces these services. Current clients include golf courses and other golf businesses.
